FSC® CERTIFICATION
The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) is an international non-profit organization established in 1993 that promotes responsible management of the world’s forests.
Optimum Card is proud to be FSC certified, and actively supports the goals and work of the Forest Stewardship Council along with many other agencies and organizations to ensure our world’s resources are harvested, habituated, and replenished responsibly.
FSC’s stated mission is to “promote environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable management of the world’s forests.” To this end, the body has five global strategy goals:
GOAL #1 – Advancing global responsible forest management
GOAL #2 – Material Chain of Custody
GOAL #3 – Social policy involving global governments and institutions
GOAL #4 – Monitoring and evaluation of certification standards. Quality Assurance
GOAL #5 – Ecosystem Services to ensure natural and healthy environment.
